Whitney Wolf"Back to Nature"
October 1 - November 15, 2009
The Ferst Center for the Arts is pleased to present an exhibit of paintings by local Atlanta artist, Whitney Wolf. Wolf's recent paintings, in this collection, depict imagery sensitive to nature and light while focusing on the relationship between photography and painting. This past May, Wolf purchased 25 acres of wooded forest in northern Vermont near the Canadian border. His landscape paintings, inspired by this purchase, are impressions of places that reference the landscape as seen through the camera lense. The works will be on display in both the Richards and Westbrook Galleries.
Hours: Monday-Friday, by appointment only. Please call 404-894-2787 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. to make an appointment. Admission is free but donations are accepted.
